Default Arg! Computer problem...

I downloaded a DOS program from the web, froma site an Ubisoft (game company) rep told me to visit to get firmware for my Pioneer DVD drive. Don't want to get into how it'* only for models of my drive that are in IBM Aptiva desktops, but now, when I try to delete it, it says that it can't be deleted, as it'* being used by another program! I've shut down and restarted my computer multiple times since then, but it still says the same thing. What do I do??? I can't even modify the settings, as it just creates a new copy with the changed settings! I can delete that new copy, but not the original. What the hell is wrong? Shouldn't restarting kill anything that'* running? Please help!

So go into safe mode and do... what, exactly? I tried moving it in "regular" mode, but it still said the same thing. So what do I do in safe mode?

Stas=rt in Safe Mode. This will prevent any extra or unnecessary drivers from loading, then move or delete what you need to.

As a semi related tip, you should all do this with your ant-spyware programs. Running them in safe mode will get help get rid of the "impossible to get rid of" ones. Worked on my daughters machine like a charm.
