hi guys. looking for a battery for the scoot. it puts out 14+ volts, so i know the scoot itself is good. the crappy duralast gold battery i bought in october is already shot. they told me the warranty was 3 years. i took the damn thing back and they said oh no no no, the guy who sold it was an idiot, it is only 3 months. needless to say, they arent getting my business anymore.
in the mean time, ive got a battery that drops to 8 volts from a full charge in less than 3 days. does anyone know where i can buy a decent battery at a cheap cost for a motorcycle/mower? the current battery cost me $75.00. i am not looking to spend that much again. any sources are much appreciated!
(stock size batteries wont work. i need a motorcycle battery to drive the starter. the big bore kit really cranks the compression way up.)

get my 4wheeler batteries from the interstate "all battery". one is 12 and the other is 14 amp hour, cycletron lead acid for like 40-50 bucks. and they buy batteries so if you have any laying around they will buy them at 5 for the small ones and 10 for the car size

hmm. ive got about 5 various batteries clunking around.
art- i did have it on a battery tender jr while it was in storage all winter. just a crap battery. probably sat on the shelf for a few years. the autozone motorcycle batteries dont have date codes conveniently.
i was walkin around menards today (basically a hybrid between lowes and sears) and they have mower batteries starting at about $40. several looked like they would fit, had 2 year warranties and have over 200 CCA. shoulda went there first!
ill probably run in there this weekend with the dimensions i need and pick one up.

good lead acid batteries come that way. i dont know why you would want a menards or sears or walmart, its all chineese crap. if you want it to last find a interstate lead acid one. most of the time with those you only need a trickle charge on vrla, the lead acid would prefer to sit in the corner and be charged a couple times a winter and left alone. alot of times you will boil them dry
the site sells them 10-15 percent more than the "all battery"
