I've had an account since 99 and have received about a dozen spoof emails, some look very real. paypal has about 3 dozen though, even at another email address I have that does not even have a paypal account linked to it.

As was mentioned above, about the only way someone can do this is if you inadvertently give it out. And keep that in mind if you're not the only user of your PC.

Ok ok, rarely they can figure out your password if it'* super easy. Other than that, it has to be phished.

eBay can have the tightest security known to man. If you mistakenly give it out, no security on earth is going to stop you.

I found out how this happened with my ebay account. When I clicked on one of the auction on there it ask me to log in. I was already logged in but I logged in again when it prompted me to. So if any of you all are already logged in don't log in again unless you logged out. The screen that ask me to log in looked the exact same as the ebay log in screen.

Be wery. Always check My Messages for the duplicated email message.

I've had countless problems recently. Up until lately, I haven't had one issue with my old account (opened in September, 1997).
