I used to go in college (free). I had a friend who was a bit heavy and I went with him to make him go regularly, and it kept me going! I started again myself a couple years ago (at g/f'* apartment – free), but it didn't last long. I would love some more muscle mass, but I look good for someone who doesn't go the the gym. I don't think I'll ever pay money to go to a gym. I'd rather buy some free weights or a Bo-Flex and work out at home when I get my own place. Driving who knows how long to go to a gym is a PITA to me.

I find that I must pass the gym for me to stop. Most of the summer I had a full gym literally 4 feet from my bedroom and never used it once.

But now that I pass the gym on the way to and way back from class....I've been there every day this week. And will continue next week, and the week after. Becasue I pass it and its not out of the way, yet it'* not so convient that I dont feel like doing anything.

In school i tried to but a lot of times my schedule/load started getting in the way towards the end of a semester.

But my main motivators

1. Being fit
2. "Runner'* High" i'd always get afterwards, and feel much better overall.
3. The ladies @ MSU who work out.. well if I didn't like to use the computer, or look at the TV on the aerobic equipment, i could always find something to watch

My iPod made it much more enjoyable as well. I almost prefer to go out alone now just to go at my own pace, and to jam out.
