Thanks, Darcy. I'll be checking out that wiring along the door sometime in the future. They have me working on another major, non-automotive project at the moment. The post by Pontiholic reminded me, the sway bar also needed replacement after the passenger side end broke. Considering the way she drives it, it'* held up fairly well.

My mom bought a 2000 Montana Extended brand new, and it was nothing but problems from about 20,000 miles to when we traded it in at 125k or so. Fuel gauge issues, radio issues, engine & trans issues (especially the engine... piece of crap.)

In other words, they're garbage

GM put a new transmission in this one while it was still under warranty. It'* also been down the fuel sender road as well. It got a new radiator not long after the warranty was up as well. The AC compressor is on its way out. Just waiting for it to crater. It only has 130,000km (gently driven).

Interesting to hear about other similar problems. I was wondering if this was a lemon or basically standard for this vehicle. I was looking at buying one a few years ago. Glad I didn't!
