I heard about that on the news, Its definately a problem and I honestly dont think it will stop any time soon. The statistics are there, but people are pretty ignorant and beleive they can beat the odds.

What is it that makes people think they are exempt?

It'* one thing to say that you will not drive drunk when you're sober, but another when you're already drunk and you're trying to debate whether or not you're in any condition to drive. Your powers of reason are skewed in that condition.

That'* what makes a designated driver so priceless...

A lot of people (especially the youthful) think they are indestructable and can do anything. They have that belief that "It won't happen to me"
