Default Amazon woes

Got a quick question for you guys.

My girlfriend sold a book on Amazon at the beginning of this month, sent it out, and had it sent back to her days later (stupid mailman doesnt know how to read a label) and so she went back down and told them about it, and they said they'd ship it out again. She'* been getting pestered repeatedly by the girl who bought the book from her regarding the book, saying it hasnt arrived and such.. the girl lives in Minnesota and we live in Pennsylvania and its been 9 days so something definitely is wrong, but apparently this girl is at the verge of demanding a refund, but my girlfriend has done nothing wrong. She held up her end of the bargain and the post office has let her down. I'm afraid that Amazon will try to seize the money back off of Katie and claim she never sent it. Katie did not get a tracking number but she did have a receipt proving she in fact sent it. What can she do?

Copy the reciept and email it to the buyer and Amazon.

In all sales and shipping matters, there is the occasional loss. Without a tracking number and the fact that the package was originally returned due to an illegible address. I would suggest a full refund including shipping to the buyer.

For future sales, she may want to consider a program or website such as www.usps.com that will preprint the label and it will never be lllegible again.

Gen chat?

Illegible address? the morons down there at the post office read it wrong. They sent it back to her because they thought it was being sent to her... they did this to her on three packages.

Do you have the book right now? Issue a refund and relist the book.

As far as the post office goes don't get me started. I tried sending someone in NYC a package. Mailed it, came back. Confirmed the address, took it back and asked them what was wrong, they didn't know so they sent it to the NYC postmaster. Came back. Went to try it again and they charged me. Long story short, the address was a Harlem address, and the apartment is 2 blocks into Harlem. So two blocks away the road has a different name (in the Upper West Side). So I used the road name for the upper west side and it got there. STUPID since the package was going to harlem....

No, the book is MIA. Katie went to the post office and they said it left their "station" or whatever you want to call it.

Now apparently Amazon is saying she must refund this girl, although Katie did everything right. How can we avoid this?

As far as I know, not much. I have to say though, as a buyer, this is nice. I didn't receive two books so far (out of several) and I got refunds no questions asked.

I would say call amazon. It is bloody hard to get their phone number...so...call 800-201-7575. This is probably not the right number to call (as a real person answers the phone, no waiting, no computers to talk to). Tell them your gripe, and they will direct your call appropriately. When you talk to the person, ask what you need to do. Tell them you have a recipt for the shipping that you can supply upon their request.
