Well..that single bolt in the center give the impression it may be a cover. Typically an intake isn't held on in such a fashion. Although it can be part of the bolting pattern.

A turbo would be part of the exhaust stream and too hot to be mounted under a plastic shield as seen in the pic.

same motor, with out the engine cover.

that is in no way a turbo.

its a tuned intake like wikoff was saying.

Same engine, without cover. Obviously showing the 'turbo' as part of the two-peice UIM.

It can't be a turbo, that'* purely intake, there'* no exhaust piping anywhere up there, let alone no bottom spool

look right above the "turbo", you can see another one. Does that make the 3900 a twin turbo
