Whiner. I had to get up early to get the kids ready for school that was CANCELLED at 1am. I backed up the database, and went to bed.

School was CANCELLED???? The school would have to blow up before it was cancelled here....it is still freezing....-28C but it feels like -33C with the wind chill. My little rugrats and I walked to school...Dad has the car....Some busses didn't run, but that is to be expected here lol.

Our busses would be fine, they just didn't want all those drivers on the road. Some of the schools are across the river. Including my kids. Very treacherous. Alot of moisture in the river, and cold 20° air circulating under the bridge. Black ice in spots. Black ice is a real problem in the valley here. The snow isn't very deep (yet) but some less-often travelled roads are so icy, they are literally inaccessible. Try driving on a frozen lake. That'* what it'* like right now. We need some good powder on top of this ice to be able to get around.

Time for 4wd

On ice? I've driven 4wd for years. I'd rather have FWD in weather like this. Unless the snow is deep enough I'm freaking plowing it for other drivers. That sucks.

Ice it isnt bad, but actually just a locking axel on a dually will keep you in line... unless of course you gotta stop..

Theat'* the biggest 'idiot club' in the winter. The 4x4 or AWD idiots that think it'll stop them faster, too.

Yeah, i almost got hit by a few of those today...driving over the center line in a no passing zone to try to find some traction
