I've heard 89'* ok if you aren't ram rodding the thing a lot....Any truth to that? I've had 87 in mine once since I had it, didn't do too bad....didn't knock or nothing.

Spiral'* is a 93 SSEi, the series I took a nose dive, so he put in a series II, supercharged, on the 4t-60 HD tranny (not the 65).

You'll get better milage and power out of 91+ octane over 87 or 89. You get more miles per dollar as well. If it'* working right.
