Does this PA have that EGR-less engine?
Yes.

Since you're bonney has the column shifter it may just have the 2.84.

Ahhh, crap...

So, what problems do I have to worry about with that revision of the engine? And is there anything I can do if I buy it to minimize the problems caused by the lack of an EGR valve? Or eliminate them?

I wouldn't be too concerned with the EGR-less 3800s unless you're really into modding. There are MANY 3800s on the road today that are EGR-less (pre 93) and still running strong. IMO, that shouldn't a show-stopper when looking for a car...unless you're looking to modify it. Would you really modify a PA, though? LOL

I have personally seen 10 92 or older 3800s with more than 200K on the clock on the original engine. On the other hand, I have only heard of one engine that burnt up a valve on a EGR-less 3800. Food for thought...
