im gonna R&R the tranny out of a 2000 impala....i was wondering if all these trannys had the same gear ratios no matter what car they are in...
1st-2.921:1
2nd-1.568:1
3rd-1.000:1
4th-0.705:1
with a 245mm TC
If im wrong...steer me in the right direction cuz the shop im tryin to buy this tranny from is asking for the gear ratios and what kind of tranny it is... i told him it was the 4T60-E and he still asked for the gear ratio.... :?

He'* asking for your final drive ratio, which is a 3.05, assuming you have the 3800 (if you have the 3.4, I think it'* a bit lower... 2.86, something like that...)

According to the chart, a 2000 Impala with 3800 could have had 3.05 or 3.29, while the 3400 would have a 2.86:
