Default 2k Bravada 4.3L - AC on == Hesitation

Ok so I found the source of the hesitation in my Bravada. When the AC is on, the hesitation is there. I turned the compressor by hand and it didn't feel any different than the compressor on my bonnie. The AC blows cold winter in upstate NY and besides the hesitation associated with it, everthing is working great. Could this be a symptom of an over filled ac system?

not an expert on this...but i notice that our bonnie/buick a/c compressors shut off automatically when we floor it...thus, no hesitation...the bravada might not do that...our 1994 JIMMY never did...every time i wanted to pass, i had to switch the a/c off...pass...then switch it back on...
goodness, you guys must be getting sick of my "......" i gotta get over that

I haven't noticed the hesitation under WOT so I can not comment. Just driving around today with the AC off, it drove great.
