... It'* a Canadian pricing. A Bonneville GXP is $46k over here, I could list many comparably priced cars that are generally regarded to be above the Bonneville'* league. Not to mention, you're paying $46k for a Sunfire interior.

not to sound overly mean or anything but I really doubt GM could care less what we think they should do. Most of the people on this forum don't buy a GM car brand new meaning that it doesn't matter if we like it or not because we're not going to buy their brand new cars anyways. The people that do buy brand new usually aren't on these forums because they're *ahem* older usually. Not saying we all drive older cars and buy used, but the vast majority of us do.

Go to GM insider news. They know damn well about them, and GMI used to be an embargo'd media outlet, who got press releases and information ahead of release date, so they could release info on a certain date.

respinS, Good call on the interior. Heck the Sunfire might even be better in some ways.

Like I said before, they'll figure it out soon enough. Ford and Mopar are in on the RWD/AWD sedan thing; it'* only a matter of time before GM follows suit.

duh....

I actually barely noticed that too BUT IT WILL STILL BE A $30,000+ CAR. thats the sad part.

ALSO....

To cope with the additional power and torque from Pontiac'* new V8, the domestic brand has employed a strengthened version of GM'* trusty Hydra-Matic 4T65-E four-speed automatic gearbox. Although it shifts smoothly, and comes equipped with TapShift 'manu-matic' functionality, the transmission seems a little outclassed in this day and age of 5- and 6-speed automatic gearboxes.

ROFL!!!!

And on that note, you can get yourself into an Infiniti G35 for less than $30k US...

RWD, L67-rivaling straight-line performance, Bonneville ownage in the corners, and prestige.
