I know.

Hence my opinion that Pentroof is *greater* than Hemi. Chrysler advertises "Hemi" like ricers going to VTEC, not even Honda themselves market VTEC as be-all and end-all, they just market it.

I like pentroof too. The new version of the 3.5 litre is supposed to make 285 HP in 2006 for the 2007 Model year cars, and the 5.7 is supposed to be bumped to 370 HP, and the new 6.1 is supposed to be bumped up to 455 HP. Don't remember the torque specs, could write them down fast enough when the Chrysler rep was telling this in training. There is word of a 6.1L supercharged happening too that will take it to over 500 HP and over 500 lb./ft. torque. We were told it probably won't happen, but then again, who knows what to expect from chrysler, they are known to invent\design some crazy stuff, including the SRT-10 Truck and SRT-8 300C\Charger, so who knows what will be next. Sorry, just remember how much I love Chrysler. Mopar or no car! lol (Yet I drive a Bonneville! lol)

All I can say is that while it'* ugly and posts impressive numbers. They really aren't that fast on the road. The pickups boast huge numbers but put it somewhere because it doesn't seem to go to the wheels on the ones I've been around. No details...I'm not getting this puppy locked. Let'* just say sadness occurs for a brand new Hemi when my 5 year old 100K mile Chevy had eggs tossed at it.

Maybe it'* just my area, but I haven't seen anyone under the age of 40 driving one. EXCEPT when I was on my honeymoon in Hawaii and it seemed like half the rental cars (rentals are by far the majority of cars in Honolulu) were 300 Limiteds.

To me, the front end looks like a cheap Rolls knock off and the rear reminds me of a Neon.

While I'll agree with you that the Chrysler line up does not look good to "my" eyes..... they must look good to the majority.

As Jim started.... Chrysler'* numbers are rising, while GM'* and Fords are dropping (in comparision).

Chrysler is doing one thing right...... power..... the SRT series are all POWERFUL machines.... I ran against an SRT-10 Viper the other day at the track. It was a newbie goof as a driver, and he managed to run 12 seconds flat... and he botched the start bad.

I was talking to an SRT-4 driver, who was running 14.3s right out off the lot. Now gentlemen, that'* a bloody Neon... with a factory turbo... running 14.3s.... GM'* got nothing like that... the closest thing is the Ion Redline or Cobalt SS, and they are 14.9 - 15.0.

Like I said...... Chrysler is doing more then one thing right..... but for me I'd be happy if GM followed Chrysler'* lead on picking up the power.

Bring back the muscle.....
