as long as you still have your bonneville now, as long as there still at the car lots for say, and welcome the new G8, whats the problem? The GXP is a v8 and so will the G8. GM is back to there old tradition for making there cars. Theere old original pattern. making a change before you even realize it and although there still the same car. The bonnie is still there with us

Mat... 55-05 . It is one of the 3 [or so] nameplates run so long. Next to the Corvette, F-150, and one other I can't remember. Pontiac is a bunch of idiots for ruining that nameplate. If I were them, I would work my *** off to keep it.

Yep, I agree. If they won't make any bonnies for the next few years, it doesn't mean that the Bonneville will stop forever. They just didn't come up with a new worthy design yet. Remember, the same thing happened to the Mercedes G-Class. They stopped making those in 2003 and now they are restarting production of this car in 2006.

So let'* keep up our hopes! :o

Hopefully we can all bitch and moan enough that they will bring it back in a couple of years Hopefully by then.. we're not limited to ooh ahh.. 4 cylinder turbo'* and electric car due to gas crunch..

Hopefully I wont' be in a wheel chair by then..

Anyone remember the Impala? It went on hiatus for some years, then came right back. I'm not worried about the Bonnie one bit. It'* a name that'* been around for over a half century. It'* not just gonna be thrown out.
