I hate the new mustang. It is a copy of the '60s mustang, and at least the GTO bring something new to the table. Personally, if I had that kind of money laying around, I wouldn't spend it on any new car, but an older one, restore it, and throw in a Caddy 500CI, or Pontiac 455CI. To me, older is better. Very few new cars even appeal to me, and of those few, they cost quite a bit of money, more than I would like to spend.

I don't really like new cars. Like, every new car has their 'little ****' problems, that would just kill me, having all this plastic **** breaking every week, and having to take it to the dealer once a month to fix it all. I wouldn't like it. Having an old car has it'* quirks too, of course. But, that is another story.

I'm not a big Stang fan, but I do like the new one. It may not be as fast as the GTO, but I like the retro styling it has. The Mustang Cobra is really gonna fly though.

I wasn't a fan of any mustang except the original, until the 05. It'* got the styling down, there are some things i would change personally, but overall it'* great. The GTO isn't bad, it'* a different kind of car. In the day the GTO was more refined then the mustang, and it still is. It'* styling isn't supposed to be Boy racer like a Cobalt SS. I would prefer the HSV body though. But to get an HSV bumper you have to go thru lots of channels.

If i was buying one, and money wasn't an option i'd have the Goat in a second. But the Mustang is still on a short list of cars my next one will be on.

EDIT Motor Trend is a hype magazine, Car and Driver just doesn't seem to have the knowledge either. Road & Track is where it'* at for me I also DL the ever great Top Gear and some Fifth Gear.

and i hate the 04 gto.... all the old ones have hood scoops, that is part of the gto look.
gm realized there mistake and fixed it for 05

Top Gear and Fifth Gear are badass. I watch that whenever I can. Even though it is a little british, I don't really care. If they featured some American cars, that would be better, but they have a lot of other good general driving information, which I like.

The real car that should have been in those tests should have been the 05 Mustang and the 05 Grand Prix

but the GP is a sedan...

GTO is better than the mustang GT. If you want to bring the cobra into the mix we can bring in the comparably priced 'vette and still whoop ford. The ford gt is like $100000 more so it automatically loses.

That LS2 is gonna own.......Problem with it though is that you have to pay like a 1,500 dollar gas guzzler tax that we have tpo pay when you buy one......I thinhkn there'* a luxury tax on them too...I'm not sure.

if you can afford the gas prices and the car, the guzzler tax probably isnt that much to you though.
