the 85'* only had 2.8V6s and 5.0V8s. id say he meant it has a rebuilt 305. the 350 was only on the Z-28, i believe, and i dont think they did that till 91

This is actually an 86 model, but the guy specifically told me its a 5.7 liter engine (I asked him about the liters).

Maybe I heard him wrong. The 5.0 305 is still a solid engine right?

I'll post pictures of my naked body unless I get the curb weight for this car! ( jokin)

I just realized I put 85 trans am as the topic when it should be 86.

Hey go drive it, that'* all that matters, a 305 doesn't have much power stock, but it could be tuned up a lot, so just drive it, ya never know. Their curb weight is a lil above 3000 lbs just like a bonnie.

I think regardless of whether its a 305 or 350, im still gonna go check it out. Its only got an automatic, but thats no huge set back. Im really hooked by this car. I'm salivating over the thought of the trans am. The fact that its carburated wouldn't be a problem would it?(actually it might be easier to work on)

oh! its also a T-top

Fun Fun Fun.... And I agree I think the 85-85 Trans Ams had a 5.0 or 305 as opposed to the 5.7... I saw an 87 with a 5.7 but before that I don't remember one... And yes, a chevy V8 is gennerally going to be a solid engime
I hope I don't have to get mine fixed all the time too. :( After I go look at it, I'll post some pics. My dads got a dig. camera now.
