Check out this video on http://www.myfoxchicago.com/myfox/pa...Y&pageId=1.1.1

This was on the news lastnight. Some dumb-arce 16 year old kid got busted doing 142mph in a 55mph zone on RT. 30. This is about 10 minutes from my house

Two things...
First off, I want a WRX
Secondly, he should fight the wreckless driving charge. There was a Judge in New York State I think it was who threw out a wreckless driving charge against a guy on a crotch rocket for doing over 100 mph. The Judge said fast doesn't necessarily mean wreckless. Cool Judge, huh?

not really. 100+ is reckless unless youre in nascar or a similar racing league. throwing out a reckless charge (when deserved) is, in itself, reckless.

crucify him. 142 is reckless. if he hadnt got pulled over he might be facing manslaughter instead.

If it was Jeff Gordon driving at night w/ no passengers and no other cars, OK, I wouldn't give reckless driving because he'* a trained professional. But a 16 yr-old-kid is (most likely) not a trained professional therefore he should receive reckless driving.

And who are those parents to be surprised that their 16 yr-old son speeds in a WRX?!?
