Yet another new member with a 97 SSEi
Stumbled onto this site when I was looking for info on repairing my passenger side mirror. Knocked it off myself (stupid mistake). I was able to repair the mirror, no cosmetic damage, just the two mounts.

Welcome to the Club!
Whereabouts in MN are you? There is considerable amount of MN members here, in fact we're getting together this Sat. at Bdubs in Apple Valley. Look here: http://mnbonnevilleclub.com/viewtopic.php?t=504

Hey, another Minnesotan!!!
Definitely show up for the MN Bonneville club meet this Saturday. Also, if you need any other parts I just picked up a 1997 SSE 40th Anniversary Edition parts car a couple weeks ago, so let me know if you have any requests.
Oh, and Welcome to Da Club!!!

No, sadly it isn't an anniversary.
I have one reason to be in the Cities this weekend, maybe this is the kicker. Have to watch the weather though, it looks like it might not be as bad as they were saying.
I busted all the little clips off off the pass door pocket fixing the mirror.(didn't know you don't have to remove, might try to fix today)
Swapped a friends sub one weekend, she got her sub back with a full tank and detailed, I got mine back with a busted latch on the armrest lid.
The display on the radio is out. All the lights in the radio work. I used to be able to tap on the display and it would come back on, now nothing. If there is strong sunlight from the back you can see the display, it'* really wierd. Must be a backlight problem. Haven't had the desire to rip the radio apart to check it out. Just my luck it'll only be a bad solder joint and I'll never fix it.
As for this weekend, I have a dance tournament (daughter, not me) , on Sat but it should be over in time to get to AV. I'll see how things go today, and the weather.

The light in the radio is not soldered, but it just as well be. It is only available from GM and they want to rape you for it. They are getting almost $30 for the stinking bulb!!!! And to make it worse, even if you can get it somewhere it'll be hard to match as the bulb # is not on the bulb -go figure.
Anyhow, to replace the bulb you can just carefully remove the faceplate from the radio chassis and you will see the bulb tucked in behind the display. Twist out -might be hard as they get hot sometimes and sorta solder themselves in place, but a screwdriver or pliers will loosen it.
