welcome dan! i used to live in hobart up till april, and my mother works at the goodwill on willowcreek. her name is mary. if you happen to pop in and theres a silver century parked near the street tell her i said hey!
helpful hint... if you go to pauls auto yard in lake station for parts, bring a girl with. the guys behind the counter pick prices off the top of their head, and they tend to give you a lower price if the girl leans over the counter. ha.

Hey eltatertoto:
I go right by that store on a regular basis. As soon as I have a chance and see that car in front I'll stop in and say hi. It'* about ten minutes from the house. I spend a lot of time at Pauls. The first date I had with my now wife was to Pauls in Gary to pull a bumper for a 71 Nova in the mid 80'*. The coil pack for the Bonne was $5, the ICM $15, MAP sensor and mount $10, air mix valve $5, all at Lake Station. I love that place.

[QUOTE=danieldc;1551142] It had a multiple cylinder misfire. Installed new plugs and wires, changed a bad ICM, replaced a weak coil pack, put fresh gas in it, and had it running right. New brakes on all four corners has it stopping right. Then I discovered it had no heat and had to replace a bad air mix valve. I've been finding alot of good info on this site to get me through fixing it up. QUOTE]
Congratulations on your work.
If you haven't check, what is the status of the UIM and the LIM gaskets? Original? Replacements? If not sure, watch coolant level carefully and consider the APN sleeved upper and the GM aluminum lowers in your future.

Hey imidazol97:
From the looks of things and what little paperwork came with the car the UIM and LIM gaskets are original. I did catch that these are an issue in one of the posts I was reading before I joined. That will definately be a job to take care of when the weather breaks.
The wife is a keeper, she humors me by letting me indulge in these hobbies. Front engine dragster, VW dune buggy, ground up Harley build have all been done. I have to have something to get through the winter. Now it'* cars for the kids. If I could only get her to enjoy the Goldwing ('87).... but the kids like going out with me.
