Hi there, I've been checking this site for the last few weeks and finally joined. I picked up a poor running 2000 Bonneville SE for $250 (not a typo - it was totaled by an insurance company for hail damage) for my daughters first car. It had a multiple cylinder misfire. Installed new plugs and wires, changed a bad ICM, replaced a weak coil pack, put fresh gas in it, and had it running right. New brakes on all four corners has it stopping right. Then I discovered it had no heat and had to replace a bad air mix valve. I've been finding alot of good info on this site to get me through fixing it up. Next up will be dash lights that are burned out and a new radio. I was brought up to fix as much as I can, take it in when I have to, and not be afraid to dive in head first. Sometimes it'* read then do, too often I do then read.

Welcome to the forum- you Daughter is going to have a nice ride. Bonnys' are great vehicles. Once you get the kinks worked out, it will be trouble free,,, for a very long time. The Bonny may be the best sedan ever manufactured in North America...

Will try to take some pics and post this weekend. Right now I'm into this Bonne for less than $500 total. It has 165k on it, but the last two days I've driven it 80 miles round trip to work trying to find all the little things wrong on it. It'* getting closer to being hers!

welcome to the site, the bonnie is the perfect car to keep your family safe. thats why i bought mine originally and still at 165k think its the best thing for them to be in. you may want to consider some struts if they look original, its probably getting floaty. mine was and i put some kyb excel-g'* on it a couple weeks ago now it rides better than new
