Default Sold my Bonneville, signing off

Hi all I sold my Bonneville a few months ago so I thought I'd sign off for the last time. It was a 1997 SSEi that I sold with 98,000 miles on it. I had it for about 4 years and put on 50,000 of those miles. I babied it to the extreme (my wife thought I was crazy) and it paid off. I posted it on Craigs List and sold within 2 hours for about the price of a 2003. I found out with this car that people will truly pay for a Bonneville in good condition. I priced it with an unreal high price because if it sold, that meant I would be driving my wife'* minivan as a daily driver. I didn't dream it would sell but it did with no negotiation. We upgraded to a Buick Rainier SUV with AWD, moonroof and a 5.3 liter V8. I can say the Bonneville felt like it had more midrange torque (even though the V8 actually has a lot more). The funny thing is the 5.3 liter accepts a supercharger pretty easily not that I would ever add one. Anyway, I got some great advice on this forum and enjoyed the car while I had it.

Good luck all

-Jason

I, too have sold my Bonney.. Was not a good day.. SPent a few bucks fixing the intake water sealing issue to the tune of about 5K.... new motor, rebuilt... Worked for awhile..
Got mine totally rebuilt thru Thunderbolt motors..
I really dont have to say how that work went, do i?

Run as far away... buy new.. not rebuilt... It was never really a good motor after that.. Oil issues, they said - this and that- but in reality- every thing was taken care of, they said and it was my fault..

cant be my fault if they never replaced the bad oil valve seals and bad valves... supposed to get those for 5 k...

oh, I am glad you guys are here, take care of each other..

When I sold the car- it was to a friend for less than it was worth- they had it 6 months- went the totaled route after they let the kid have it...for only 72 miles- got a car and a jersey bumper in the process..

sad really...
