those Lumina LTZ'* with the 3.8'* were awesome little sleepers. And the good availability of aftermarket parts... and a used SC 3800 series I or II will be cheaper than a 3.9 also....

well, 5th Gen MCs could have them in 2006 if it was a LT, and was standard in the LTZ... but yeah, other than that, they're not very common... kinda like someone'* 95 MC with a N* in the illinois area...

no, i know the facts of it. if i did most of the work, i could swap in a L67 for less than $1500... and a LZ9(3900 with the cool dual-tract intake) alone would cost me ~700 let alone the transmission that can withstand it, and the electronics to run it.... OHV VVT and variable intake systems are interesting to study.
but it'* been done to death... like a S10 with a SBC, or a truck with a 10" lift: everyone has already been there and done that.
