Those Eatons really heat up. Anything to keep them cool helps. With that and a cooler motor it was good for more than half a second. I am not sure if it applies to l67'* but ice a popular trick with 5.0 mustangs because not only does it help cool the intake charge down but it cools off the temp sensors allowing the computer to run a more aggressive timing curve.
