I don't worry so much about the whine as I do the loud engine noise. I guess I've been around the import scene too long. I have an accord and I put an intake on it, and as soon as vtec kicks in...it'* lounder than most v8'*. BTW, no i'm not a ricer with a high-rise wing or coffee can exhaust.

Just kidding. I see it as a "bearable Honda." :P On an unrelated note, if it'* one thing I can't stand is a coffee can exhaust that seems to amplify the exhaust noise. I know this kid with a '92 Prelude 2.3L (non-VTEC) with headers, fart can, "preformance distributor" , and a chip. That thing is so god damn loud, I can hear his car over 3 blocks away when he accelerates. It really kills me. Like the 4" outlet is fooling anyone. I'm sure his 2.3L I4 flows enough air to take full advantage of that 4" outlet. It drives me . Best part, he only ran a 16.05 at the strip, while my fat A$$ Park Avenue layed the smack down on his punk butt with a fantastic 15.9. I only relish (sp, the food?) in victory because he was so confidant he'd beat me. I win. Once you go blown, you never go back. And that was with my stock air box, complete with tiny 2 1/2" inch inlet hole.

But, you don't have to worry about too much intake noise. The supercharger blocks most of the engine intake noise while emitting an nice whine that lets people know you mean business. Even an L36 (no supercharger) emits a nice deep, throty tone. One of my friend'* Bonneville shounds sweet with a CAI, very muscular. No VTEC in Detroit to screw up the sound of a motor.

Hey, I already posted my drag times for the accord...but it is at least a v6...and it will be supercharged in the next year...I'm addicted to boost. Get my T-type running and I'll have 3 cars with boost . I don't like ricers either, I actually didn't mod the exhaust in my car due to the fact I would actually loose desperately needed torque so I don't qualify for rice. Plus my guage cluster is made by ford(don't ask why honda did that)

So the gauges are the only thing that'll be working on your car when it gets older. :P

Glad to see another boost addict, your in good company.

I'm actually not too fond of Fords either. Give me a good GM product any day of the week.
