Hey, we picked up a white 93 SSE just the other day.... having a little problem with oil pressure though, looking into it. (almost no oil pressure)

Anyways, needed a car for my wife that could fit our three kids, and we just can't bring ourselves to buy a minivan.... This was replacing a Dodge neon that we got as a temporary thing because we were short of money due to me going back to school. I wont miss it.

Other than the oil issue, loving the bonneville, the leather, the power, the features.... mmmm

I am still nerding out over that HUD and the graphical compass/vehicle information display.

This is our first bonneville, we owned a grand prix before, but we have mostly owned smaller ford cars. Can't say we didn't like them, just nothing in this size that can give us the same options, look nice and sporty, and give us the fuel economy. Always liked the look of the bonnevilles, and I have never had anything bad to say about a 3800.

On to the problems.

Passenger rear door wont open. Any advice how to get it open? Lock works, but I suspect the rod for the outside handle was disconnected somehow and the child lock is on.

Passenger side rear seatbelt doesnt retract on the bottom and was very very hard to pull out. Any ideas?

Also, anyone near southeastern south dakota, feel free to say hi. Vermillion, SD here.

Oil pressure reading low. Good chance it might be the sensor itself.
Go ahead and make yourself comfortable by looking around and go ahead and post your oil pressure question in the 92-99 section.

No, oil pressure isnt the sensor. Had the sending unit out and used a mechanical gauge. Very little pressure. Plus there was no oil flow when I pulled the valve cover off.

I'll pull the pan and have a look at the oil pump and pickup, while I am down there, good time to check bearings.

The engine stuff is no problem for me, Im a pretty big gearhead and have been a diesel mechanic for years before going back to school, but yeah, I will go ahead and make a thread about the door. Body hardware and work are not really my thing.... Still reading through old threads before I start a new one.

Hey, just out of curiosity, would my 93 have come with keyless entry? I mean, was that an option for that year. If so, anyone know where I would look for the module to verify whether it was equipped with it?

Welcome to the forum! I asked this question recently; if your '93 is the same as my '97, take out the paneling just above the floor on the passenger side. You should see a black body control module; the remote keyless entry module, if present, is a silver-looking box plugged into that by a short cable.

I posted a thread on this. Probably won't take a look at mine until the snow melts and I can hit a couple of the local junkyards.
