new here to the forum I have a 2000 SEI stock. I got no major plans to mod mine other then changing the mufflers out they are too quiet. Got the car from a friend has 186,000 on it now and going strong. Has been a great car the last year I owned it!

Everything you do that changes the air flow will effect the sound. Cam or rockers change it, headers sound different from stock manifolds, different cats effect it as well. Each change I made caused the tone to go deeper. It sounded OK with just a new muffler, but teh cat deepened it, the headers really made it deep.
