I'm sure you could get a far better deal on an older supercharged Bonneville like Dans, and they seem to be easier to work on as we found out. I personally like my 03'. Whatever you end up with though, your going to love it.

Welcome to the BonnevilleForum Bear. The SSEi was only made to '03, After that the top trim level for '04 and '05 was reassigned to GXP w/the Northstar v8.

And it'* not like your to far from me. I know a trick or two to make it faster.

Keep in mind, if your looking to mod the engine, you don't want the GXP. It has a locked PCM so no chance of tuning.

Not really interested in the GXP...they are a little too expensive for me. At that price range, I would probably get something else. So basically I'm looking for the SSEIs with Series II L67s..

That'* what I would shoot for. I don't think they have a series III Bonneville, and it'* easier to find parts for the series II than a series I IMO.
