Also, my budget is pretty tight right now, because I am an un-employed student who also happens to be married with two children. So any mods must be economical and practical....for now.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
I guess I am looking mainly for body mods. Dont want to go to "ricey". I guess I want it to be custom, but not too flashy. Yet, anyway.
Ultimately, i 'd love to go all out with suicide/lambo doors, ram-air hood, custom paint and big wheels, but that'* all a distant dream for now.
Something that you can do which gives your car a really distinct look and is cheap is customize your grill.

For example, I used a dremel tool to cut the plastic out of the grill, then got some home depot gutter guards. I cut them to fit and painted them the same color as the accents on my car and glued them in place.

Welcome! What is this....PA month? I'm just a hop, skip, and a snowdrift north of you (and from GXP Rules too, I guess). Clearing the corner lens makes a huge difference on most rides....there'* some before/after pics in the video link in my signature...but the pics go pretty fast....
