Too bad you didn't live closer to me ...I could get ya an LT1 that is sitting here at the u-pull-it for 165 out the door...no accessories mind you, but an LT1 nonetheless

The MS system is pretty flexable, esp. the newest boards and coding. By far your biggest obstacle will be the intake manifold configuration. Keep in mind that the Series 2 3800'* found in the F-bodies (Camaro/Firebird) have that manifold orientation, but willnot bolt up to a n LN3 or any other pre-Series 2 motor for that fact...but I bet you can use it'* throttle body once you figure out what to do. Also, you are going to have to run electric fans for your radiator, get yourself an electric fuel pump, and modify your tank for a fuel return (possibly).

fuel take is set up for return it is in the trunk and has a fuel pump in it I know i would have to put a higher psi one in but it would be easy. Would love the lt1 but i would think it might be too heavy????? elec fans are cool less robbing of ponies.

I am real conserned about that trans though It seems to be the biggest problem I would think I could build a custom bellhousing If I needed to but I have never done that and I know nothing about transmissions.

I do know that the S2 trannies in the F-bodies *should* bolt up to your motor. Now, the trick is going to be the flywheel and torque converter. S2'* have a different stall speed, since the 2 engines make their power in totally different areas of the RPM range. IF you can get the S2 transmission from a boneyard, and be able to use a TC from an L27 in there, you *should* be golden.

I just thought of another issue...motor mounts. As it sits right now, your motor does not have provisions for a mount on the rearward bank (based on FWD orientation). Only on the front bank side does it have one, so you may want to think about a girdle-style mount that mounts on the crankshaft end of the motor, and spans both sides.

Or you could hold out and get you an S2 from an F-body. Most problems solved that way

May have found an LT1 for about $100.00 in the car so I would have all the acc. that would be sweet so I will give it a few weeks and see. HEAVIER but more potential and easier to stick a trans to. So we will see I will let you all know what I do. Thanks for the info.
