Michael, I just want to ask, why Olds? I'm not trying to dog on you or anything, I hope you don't take it the wrong way, just curious.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! You can never go wrong with car guys!

Why Olds, you ask? Why not? Why do you like Bonnevilles? I'm not sure why I got hooked on them but I love them. I especially like Ninety Eights, they are like driving a sofa down the road but they have some balls too, especially the */c models. I have had a 1991 Touring Sedan, a 1993 supercharged Touring Sedan, and three 1994'* including the */c one I drive now. One of the 94'* I had for only three days, it was a one elderly owner example. I was driving it home from work one night, and a kid pulled out in front of me as I crested a hill at 10 PM and I ran it under the back of his C-3500 with a Tommy Lift. Tore the right front wheel/strut assembly completely off. I am glad I was in the Ninety Eight rather than some ricer, I wouldn't be here with this great group of people!

I've never been into belly button cars and like driving something nobody else has. I also have a 1960 Studebaker Lark 4 door station wagon (when did you see one last?), a 1957 Ford F-100 short-wide bed (when did you seen one last?) and a more common 1977 Nova 2 door hatchback with, what else, a 425Olds in it!

Default Before and After

Here are some pictures of the pristine 1993 Ninety Eight Touring Sedan I used to have. Some little puke stole it out of my driveway at 4:45 AM. The state police found it in the condition you see it in about 8 hours later...

Why in the heck did they burn it? I've heard of cars getting stolen, drove around, and then just abandoned but never stolen and then burnt!

That sounds exactly like a Bonneville, comfortable, safe, not exactly slow, and not every other person has one. I can relate. Oh, and sorry 'bout your car(*).
