ive got an 01 bonneville ssei with a car stero issue can anyone help?

it has the factory bose stereo which was locked so according to research the only way to unlock it was with the gm scan tool which we did and the radio seems to be fully operational but there is no sound coming from any of the speakers any ideas?

Did this radio come from another vehicle? Was it Thefltocked enabled or was it a VIN locked?

it was theftlocked i believe the light was on on the face it did say locked across the screen

i can not say for certain though the unit might have came from another vehicle isnt that why the unit locks out?

So, you bought the car, and the radio did not work because the Theftlock was on correct?

Can you find the amplifier in the trunk. Either its underneath the rear deck(between the rear speakers) or its located behind the carpet on the LHS of the trunk. Next to wheel well.
