looking at buying a 1963 bonniville coupe i found locally any help on known areas to check on this model would be great. its a 389 auto lhd coupe daily driver. what kind of dollars would you pay for one state side. ta jay

Hello from up under! I'm not sure what they would go for these days. Another one of our members (SGP35 is into the classics. He might know something about them.

We have a very limited number of classics here, but there might be a few that can step in.

Hi Justen...Welcome to the Bonneville Forum! Not to many of the classics around, but we do have a few that have them and can help you. I'll PM them and have them step into the thread and give you some help.

If that car were here in the States and was a presentable driver with nice paint and interior and in good mechanical condition, that car wold bring $5-8 thousand dollars.

The areas to check are: the chassis for rot, the bottoms of the fenders and bottoms of the rear quarter panels. Look in the trunk, they usually rust through over the body mounts.

Sometimes the top of the rear quarter panel, near the rear side windows, will crack, which is very common when those rear body mounts go bad.
