Default Hello from Iowa

I have enjoyed lurking on this forum for a while now. This is a valuable stop for me when I am online.I have learned quite a bit about my car here.My car is a 92 SE and is very special to me.I got it about five years ago and have been treated very well by it.
I had a run of expected and unexpected issues recently with the car.I took it in because it was stalling while driving, well the cam magnet had fallen off,the place I took it to said they could fix it.Long story short what ever they did wrecked my engine,no oil pressure, leaks, loud noises.I was furious,I told them they better fix it,they agreed and got me another engine that has 100,000 less mile than mine had.So far so good except the oil filter drains right on the axle unless I create a shield(which I do).
I have recently been fixing all the little things that get broken over time,I found that I enjoy going to salvage yards. There are alot of Bonnevilles in this area,I hope to get another soon,I want to see what a supercharged is all about!

What did they put in there that hangs the oil filter adapter over the axle?

Welcome, by the way.

Hi Guys, the engine is the same as before,3800,as far as I know the only difference is the length of the oil filter adapter, obviously it is not from a bonneville though.
Harofreak00 when I get mine I will come see ya!!!!

Sounds to me you got a motor out of a Minivan or a Regal.
Oh, and by the way -HI!
Spent two weeks in the Jordan Creek Wal-Mart last year installing the security camera system. Also have to say the Cheesecake Factory has some very good food..... but it better have been for the price. I ate there about 5 times.

I live near the Jordan Creek Mall, well whatever the engine came out of at least it runs great with no oil leaks. Now if I can figure out what the clicking noise is that comes from the tranny when you start the car,if I put it in reverse and back to park it stops!!!
Thanks for the welcome,Tim
