this is my 4rth wbody coupe.they all get low 30'* even with 300k. i had a 88 cutlass put over 200k never touched the engine or trans. i had a 90 gp put over 300k never touched the engine but the trans once. then i had a 03 monte 3.4 that got 34 new and i put a k&n drop in it e3 plugs msd wires and strait piped the silencer i got 38 a few times that way average 36. put 170k on it and found this very well taken care of 07 3500flex. i switched jobs and have only a rural 2 lane commute now but doing that with only a k&n i get 32 no a/c 30 with a/c on.

in between there i had a neon es i bought new i thought the 4 cyl would get better mileage but it didnt, cause they are geared for city and the mileage actually falls off quite fast over 55, where the gm 6'* get there best between 60-65

I have been long debating getting one. My girlfriend had a 97 Lumina LTZ when I met her, but has since gotten a 08 Cobalt Special Edition. I think the Lumina had 170k, and nothing was wrong with it. She just wanted to have a new more reliable car cause she was pregnant when she bought the Cobalt. Turned out she miscarriaged, but the Cobalt is really nice. Has a lot of power for a 2.2.

I drove the Cavalier up to the gas station to get a drink, and I got smoke coming from my engine. Not good. Definitely gonna trade it in today. There'* a deal going on at a dealer where they'll give so much on a car no matter how it runs (or doesn't run) lol. Looks like I gotta run to my step-dads house and get the Tracker. Why that thing has a hitch on it is beyond me, but it can tow the car with the trailer we have cause I've done it before. lol.

Based on my expericne with them, and reviews online, I'm gonna look for something with the 3400 or 3800 V6. I am just picky and really only like Victory Red on GM cars. GF'* cobalt is white and I absolutely hate it.

the 3400'* get better milage with similar power.
