wow thanks for the heads up-Im not the most mechanically inclined (computers I can do! cars umm nope) Can I add an egr? If so should I look to see if one has been added? if so again where do I look.If one cant be added should I look or smell for something?

Oh and should this thread be moved to 1992-1999 maybe? I dont want to fill up the inro section with tech questions =)

No you just can't add an EGR Valve as there is no provision for it on the Lower Intake manifold.

As a present 92 SE EGRless owner, I can tell you everything you need to know about this engine. First off, listen for a miss when inspecting it. If one is found it means at least one of the exhaust valves is burnt out &/or the exhaust manifold is cracked as well. This isn't an expensive repair if you can do it yourself, but will be a good couple of hours labour if you have to pay someone to do it for you though. The EGRless engine runs hotter than ANY other 3800 ever made so far by GM. For this very reason, I would recommend a 180 degree T-Stat as a first mod. A second Trans Cooler as a second mod would be next.
