Default Hello

Greeting all you lucky bonnevile owners =)
Well I dont have a bonneville yet, but are looking to get one! Have loved the cars since my dad had a 95 ssei. Here is my predicament. We are in Salt lake city, had a line on a couple of ssei around here, we just had to sell our old car to get a bonnevilee, well we have just sold our car and wouldnt you know it they are all sold in our area. so i have a couple of questions. We love the ssei with all the bells and whistles, are any of the other models comparable? ie hud, 12 way seats, traction control, super charger etc I guess we could go without the supercharger if all other options were there =(
so should I just stick on the ssei? If so I have found 2 1992 ssei in orange county I have a sister and mother in LA so I could get them to check them out. Any recomendations on shops to take them to to get checked out? Well thatnks for reading, I hope we get one so we can share in all the fun you guys have!

Welcome to the club.

If all the SSEi are sold out and you are looking at a later model year, try to find the SLE. It has all the features and trim level of the SSEi, but no supercharger.

What year are you folk looking at? That well affect trim level and what might be available

If the budget is 4G, then I'd be lookin at a 92-94 SSEi, SLE was not brought out until 94 and it had an SE style to it.

Check out Ebay motors and get a gage on whats available, also auction houses are a good way to go, or ask dealers if they can search for early to mid 90'* top of the line Bonne in your area...there has to be some.

The SSE and SSEi basically have the exact same trim level, but the "I" has a supercharger on it.

However, and you will get used to it, Pontiac has so many variations on the Bonneville lineup. Supercharged SE, and SSEs (no i) and even supercharged SLE'*...depends if the car was a custom buy.

Oh and trolls, we get a few, but we handle them....

It really all started in '93 when the supercharger became an option. Which is why you see sse with superchargers. Then in '94 the SSEI was taken out and replaced with the SSEI supercharger package
