hello to all, new here from france sarras 07370 local zip code i have a c3 corvette 1973 wich i just bought and brought over to france i am looking up certain specs to have my title done but can not get it figured out here is the complete stamped number on engine flat on passanger side next to heads c5f 327649 v1031 txb can any one help me figure out what it came from has i don't think it is original corvette engine. thank you for your replies

thank you for the help i just got confirmation this morning now i know how to face the problem......car is going for sale and going to look for big block 427 c2 or chevelle ss like i used to have back in 81 thanks to all for the information ...chris

c5f 327649 is the vin derivative from the truck the engine was originally installed into. This number was stamped at the final assembly plant just prior to the installation of the engine into the truck
C - Chevrolet Truck Division
5 - 1975 Model Year
F - Flint Michigan Truck and Bus Assembly plant
327649 - sequential serial number of the truck
So it was factory installed into a truck, its not a original Corvette engine
