Hi I am having trouble finding the right rack and pinion for my car. It is a 98 grand prix gtp with a 3.8. I don't kno whether it is a variable assist rack our not. Can some one please help by responding

check your rpo codes...should on a sticker in the trunk somewhere around the spare tire cover....steering codes will be something like FE1,FE4...write all the F-codes down then do a search for meaning of each

The codes are fa1-fe1-fe9-and fr2

Fe1 was suspension touring
