Default rack and pinion leaking

ok folks whats up ! well unfortunately today my bonnie was in an accident and the driver side wheel was hit and twisted at the lower control arm. well a mechanic tried welding it to bring it back to its original position. its now alot better.. now he says the rack has a small leak and said it was nothing major. does any one know if i should change it because he said i dont have to, and what could happen if i dont.in the future

I'd repair any leak I had on my car asap. It may not be major, but if it'* not supposed to leak, it'* not supposed to leak. Just my 2 cents. I hope the rest of the car is ok :?

I'd fix it soon, like Peter said. If you don't, keep a SHARP eye on the PS fluid. The rack for the SE is significantly more affordable than the SSEi. I think you'll be surprised
