I was a part of ls1tech.com until i traded my camaro for a ssei
I just have a couple of newbie questions.
What are some good performance replacement sites.
Where can i get a rebuild kit for my m62
Last one i have a 3800 supercharged motor i know, but what model is it (ie L27)
Thanks and i will post pics in a couple of days and i hope to be a benefit to the forum

first off, welcome

You have the Gen3 M62, rated at 225hp. You can bo most of the basic mods and even go to a smaller pulley with sufficient mods. Your limiting factor will be your PCM as it is a hybrid year, but I think there may be a solution or two out there for that.

Check out the search feature also as it may lead you to answers to your questions.

Welcome to BonnevilleClub

Your engine is a Series I L67.

The aftermarket is pretty slim for parts for the Series I, so most people stick with a CAI, Hi-flow cat, ported exhaust manifolds, smaller pulley.... a muffler wouldn't really give any gains untill more modding is done, but it sounds a lot better though preferred brands here seem to be Magnaflow, and Flowmaster.

A scantool will definatly help with modding.
Before you go with a smaller pulley, make sure you don't have any KR.

relax, ALL of your questions will soon be answered

KR = Knock Retard.

basically the computer gets a signal from the knock sensor that the engine is getting knock / predetonation and pulls back timing.

ahhhh, there are quite a few people around here that say that green is the fastest color on these cars

Lookin good, needs a good wash and some Simple Green under the hood, but not in bad shape at all, and don't worry about the rust spot.... you should have seen MY car about five months ago

The rust spots can be fixed pretty easily, and if you shop around some, you might be able to find a pretty good deal on the body work

There is no slim aftermarket for the S1. That'* a myth. In truth, the only thing not available readily is an intercooler.

Your imagination and budget are your only limits.

Hi Michael, and welcome to The Club.
Congrats on your new car baby. You can trust it to keep your family safe and sound, and it will be great to give you a thrill when your family is not in the car

It'* one of the things I love the most about my car, and great colour by the way!!

Hey, welcome. That looks nearly identical to my car. When I first got mine, though, it had about 260K miles on it. Great body for the year. Though there isn't so much trunk latch rust on my car, I think that shouldn't be a problem either way. The car looks great.
