So after all the commotion with this truck the dealer service advisor is confirming its my 4wd motor controller, i went to autozone to look one up 430 bucks for this part. Is there an after market part or is it straight OEM only? if dealership is going to make me pay for it i will just buy it and install it on my own.

Same dealer that diagnosed bad transmission, magic temperature-based transfer case shenanigans, and won't ever do the wheels-off-the-ground-test?

Ok lifted front end of truck, put in 2hi while in drive, shut off engine and rotated the front drive shaft just fine with no wheelspin. next i guess has to be the front axle having the issue then if the vibration is coming from there.

Maybe. What is the frequency of the vibration? Like a few cycles per second or lots of cycles per second?

i dont know, none the less the issue has been eradicated. i traded it in for a new truck and bit the bullet. last time i buy a chevy.
