Default Service 4WD light

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado Z71. The Service 4WD light came on a little while ago and hasn't gone away. I've replaced the control module under the dash and the switch. Only thing I can find to do now is go somewhere to have the codes looked at. One thing I can't find is where to have them read. Any suggestions where I can go? I'm trying to keep the truck out of the shop.

Thanks

does yours have traction control? if so turn it off then drive around a few minutes shut the truck off then start back up that may fix it. did with my wifes. i think that traction control is a crappy design it'll get you stuck in your driveway.
any way. just an option.

Are you using a scanner like a tech 2 that specifically says reads gm body codes?
