Default Reduced Engine Power

Ok so i was parked and eating supper at a drive-in fast food place and when i went to start my truck up it said "reduced engine power" and was idling at 1500 rpm and i couldn't rev it at all. I didn't try to drive it like that. I then shut it off and started it back up again and everything was normal! What could have caused this?

No telling with today'* computers.

You could put a scanner on it and check for history codes.

Chances are you had a temporary problem with the TAC system....code was set and you went into a backup or limp mode......As Mike said, scan for codes...

there is a tsb for the little wires that go to the throttle actuator coming loose and causing intermittent issues. i think they tug and the wires and see if it makes a difference and if it does they put a new harness or pigtail on there
