Pls Help - No AC in 2009 Yukon
Thank you so much for helping.
I have no AC in my Yukon. It is a 2009 Hybrid.
I have recharged the AC and that did not work. The coolant is fine. I have read places it could be an actuator or maybe the whole control unit.
It only blows HOT air no matter the setting.
Please help with any thoughts on how to fix this, I do not have a lot of money to spend at a dealership, was hoping I can handle this myself.

Hi 2kg4u,
Thank you SO much for the quick reply. Its been hot here and the no air thing has been a killer.
So I heard the compressor kick on after I turned the air on, but not until I hit the button to take the air intake from outside.
Also, I noticed that my passenger side vent is much colder than the driver side, not AC cold but its cold. As well as the rear.
I read something that it may be an actuator?
Also I brought it to a place that is not a GM dealer to look at the AC and do a recharge, they said there is certainly enough freon, the compressor does work and there are no leaks. He mentioned something that it could be electrical maybe even with the hybrid system itself. I was thinking maybe the AC/HEAT control unit. I saw on ebay that it is about 250 for a control unit and 60 for the actuator. If I did it myself that is probably still a lot less than a dealer handling that.
Thoughts?
Thanks again for your help. It certainly does mean a lot to my family and I.
