Default New exhaust for 07 silverado

Hello, i am looking to change the exhaust on my truck. It'* an 07 Silverado 4.8. Right now I am running true duels from the cats with glass packs. One of the mufflers broke the other day, so I cut the other one off even. Now It sounds like crap. I'm looking to prolly have the whole system changed since the one muffler is shot and the guy who did it the first time only used like 2.25 inch pipe for some unknown reason. What would be a good set up to run? Thanks.

That depends on what you are looking for. BTW, you aren't running true duels. True duels is a single pipe all the way back per bank. None of this 1 pipe runs to the other bank and joins that pipe and runs back, then splits off.

If you want real exhaust, dual pipes, flowmaster/magnaflow mufflers and high flow cats.

It is trues. I cut the y-pipe at the cats and ran the pipes back from there. How do the mangaflows sound. The glass packs weren't as loud as I would of liked. Kind of looking for a cackle to the exhaust and don't know if my cats would prevent this. Thanks.

Your restrictive exhaust manifolds are the problem. Upgrade to standard issue headers that are designed to fit your application. Then go with high flow cats, and Flowmaster Super 40 series 2.5"/2.5" dual in dual out muffler.

Would there be enough clearance to run shorties bolted to the 40'* and that is all there is?

Your going to mount mufflers right at the end of the shortie headers?

That'* the plan if they'll fit. Do you think I could squeeze long tubes in instead?
