Default Manual transmission swap on a yukon?

Hey all I'm pretty new to the forum and this may be posted in the wrong section but i just wondering if its possible to swap an 5spd manual from a sierra to a Yukon xl. I did a little bit of research and the sierra does come with the same 5.3L Vortec I have in my truck. I'm not exactly sure of the model of the transmission though, any information would be appreciative. Thanks!

i havent seen one done after 2000. there would be a bunch of other things to do besides just the trans. the shifter would interfere with the consoles, the 4wd might be different, most of the manual ones are part time 4wd were the yukon would be auto. not sure about using the auto tc on the manual trans. also would have to have the pcm programed with the manual trans stuff. then you would need the obvious clutch petal, brackets, master, the throwout on the new ones is like the t56 in the trans you would need all that, the clutch, flywheel, bearings, mounts for the trans, probably other stuff im forgeting

Hmmm, didn't think about all of that. But I did take note that the console would be lost. Would it be easier if I had a 2wd Tahoe from 99-00? the reason I would like to use the sierra and the Yukon xl is because they look similar in shape and I'm assuming they are similar in the drivers area. Also because my engine was also used in the sierra.

if you didnt have 4wd on either you would still need everything besides the tcase. because the pcm needs to be programed to make the cluster work
