Lv3 v6 crankshaft question
hi looking to do an engine swap with an lv3 V6. Would be grateful if someone could confirm if the ls pilot bearing would fit the lv3 crankshaft. Thanks so much

We'll need more detail. You are swapping an LV3 in or out?
What engine is already there?
I looked at your profile and see a 4.6 of some sort, but GM hasn't produced a 4.6 for a 2015 Silverado so no help there.

Yes sir let me clarify. I'm researching putting the Silverado lv3 V6 into a Porsche 944. I would be using a C5 Corvette bellhousing. I was hoping one of your Forum members could confirm that the LS pilot bearing would fit the lv3 crankshaft because the pilot bearing adapter for this engine swap is the same dimensions as the LS pilot bearing. I have heard in several places that the LS pilot bearing should fit but I was hoping to get a definitive confirmation that it would work. Thanks very much

Ah, I see. I don't know the answer to this. Perhaps someone else on the forum does.
This is a rare swap. I haven't ever heard of an LV3 being swapped into anything. Not that it'* a bad engine, just most folks go V-8'* all the time. I think this engine will be a great fit for a 944.
If you don't mind, I'd love to see your resulting project up here on the forum someday..
