Default intermittent stutter during acceleration

i have a 1989 gmc r3500 with a 454 and it has a stutter to it during acceleration.i was wondering what are the first things i should check?also there are no codes.

i think i might have found my problem on of my sparkplug wires cam loose and fell against the exhaust and was sparking against it.i just got done putting on old wire on there temperately so i can test drive it.

Once you replace the wire, you will know if anything in the secondary ignition was affected.....

When that'* happening, that cylinder isn't firing (mostly), and also that cylinder is having to be dragged along by the other seven. Double whammy.
